Nplate (romiplostim) is indicated for adult chronic immune (idiopathic) thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) splenectomised patients who are refractory to other treatments (e.g. corticosteroids, immunoglobulins).
Nplate may be considered as second line treatment for adult non-splenectomised patients where surgery is contra-indicated.
