The Rarely Used Medicine (RUM) List assists hospital pharmacy staff in East and South East England obtain medicines that for reasons of cost, infrequent use or difficulties in acquisition are kept in small quantities by few Trusts.  It is intended primarily as a resource to help out-of-hours provision of pharmacy services.

 

This version was updated between March and August 2011 following an extensive effort to ensure the data was as thorough and accurate for the geography as possible. 

 

Guidance is given in the introduction to the list on its use and remit, as well as advice and signposting to other resources of use in relation to rarely used medicines.
