NICE has published a costing template to accompany its guidance (TA 244) issued on the use of roflumilast for the management of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

The costing template can be used by health communities to assess the local impact of implementing the guidance, based on the local population.
 

The template states that because roflumilast is only recommended in the context of research for severe COPD, a significant impact on resources is not anticipated.
