The European Medicines Agency has approved an additional indication for bevacizumab (Avastin®) – for use in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel for the front-line treatment of advanced (FIGO stages III B, III C and IV) epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer.
