AstraZeneca has issued a letter to doctors advising them of updates made to the Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) of quetiapine and quetiapine prolonged release, to reflect the most up to date information on weight gain, hyperglycaemia and metabolic risk.  The letter highlights the labelling text relating to metabolic parameters – please see the link below.
