According to a report by BioSpace.com, the US Food and Drug Administration has accepted for review, a New Drug Application for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with constipation and chronic constipation. A decision is expected mid 2012. The New Drug Application was based on data from two phase III studies (previously reported on the NeLM – please see link below).
