This guideline update focuses on several areas in which new data on management of patients with peripheral artery disease have become available since the publication of the 2005 Guideline from the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Task Force on Practice Guidelines.

Individual recommendations in this focused update will be incorporated into future revisions and/or updates of the full-text guidelines (a version incorporating the update is available at the link below).
