New-onset diabetes after transplantation (NODAT) is a serious and frequent metabolic complication seen after renal transplantation. This review looks at the factors contributing to the risk of NODAT and the strategies related to modifiable factors, under the following headings:

• Management of NODAT (including pharmacological management of hyperglycaemia)
