These ‘Head to Head’ articles in the British Medical Journal discuss whether lower urinary tract symptoms should be treated without a definite diagnosis.  The author of the ‘yes’ article believes that invasive investigations are unnecessary and impractical for most patients with such symptoms, whereas the author of the ‘no’ article argues that they are essential for successful treatment.
