The FAQ series on the PGD Website "Questions about PGDs and PCT commissioned NHS services" has been updated to reflect recent advice from the CQC about the ability of private providers, who have registered with the CQC after October 2010, to develop their own PGDs.
 

Other FAQs on the website such as "Can all independent health and social care organisations provide private services using PGDs?" and the series "PGDs in GP practices" have also been updated to reflect this most recent advice.
 

The MHRA and CQC are also due to issue a joint statement later this week. Further information will follow.
