The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) has adopted a positive opinion on the applications for license extension for Gardasil® (human papillomavirus vaccine types 6, 11, 16, 18] to include the prevention of premalignant genital lesions, cervical cancer and external genital warts in mid-adult women, from the age of 26 to 45 years.
