Merck & Co has provided the FDA with completed 48-month trial data needed for approval to market its cervical cancer vaccine Gardasil® to women between the ages of 27 to 45 in the US. In the UK, Gardasil is licensed for use in adult females 16 to 26 years of age and in 9- to 15-year old children and adolescents on the demonstration of immunogenicity.
