GlaxoSmithKline and Valeant Pharmaceuticals International have filed their investigational treatment retigabine for marketing approval in the EU and the US, as adjunctive therapy to treat adult epilepsy patients with partial-onset seizures. Retigabine is neuronal potassium channel opener.
