The November newsletter from the MHRA includes a review of data on adverse psychiatric reactions linked to varenicline. The Agency advises that patients on varenicline who develop suicidal thoughts or agitation, depressed mood, or changes in behaviour that are of concern for the doctor, patient, family, or caregiver should stop their treatment and contact their doctor immediately
