To date there is no convincing evidence to support the use of an ACE inhibitor in combination with an ARB in patients with vascular diseases such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes mellitus (high risk vascular patients) and post MI patients. Similarly the available evidence indicates no additional benefit of combining an ACE inhibitor with an ARB for patients with mild to moderate hypertension.
