NICE has published a clinical guideline on organ donation, offering evidence-based advice on identifying potential organ donors as a result of brainstem death or circulatory death, and on obtaining consent for deceased organ donation for transplantation, including the optimum timing for approaching families about consent.  Please see the link below for details.
