The National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has issued guidance on the use of bivalirudin for the treatment of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).

 

NICE states that bivalirudin in combination with aspirin and clopidogrel is recommended for the treatment of adults with STEMI undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention.
