The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has issued a clinical guideline on the management of hyperglycaemia in patients with threatened or actual myocardial infarction. The guideline offers advice on managing hyperglycaemia within the first 48 hours in people admitted to hospital for acute coronary syndromes.
