The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) has announced that in the absence of a submission from the holder of the marketing authorisation for erlotinib (Tarceva), the combination of erlotinib with gemcitabine for the treatment of patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer is not recommended within NHS Scotland.
