The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) does not recommend the use of miconazole muco-adhesive buccal tablets (Loramyc®) within NHS Scotland for the treatment of oropharyngeal candidiasis (OPC) in immunocompromised patients, as the manufacturer did not present a sufficiently robust clinical and economic analysis.
