The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) has not recommended tadalafil (Adcirca ®) for use within NHS Scotland for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension, classified as WHO functional class II and III, to improve exercise capacity, due to non-submission from the holder of the marketing authorisation.
