In the absence of a submission from the holder of the marketing authorisation, the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) is unable to recommend venlafaxine extended release capsules (Efexor XL) for use within NHSScotland for the treatment of moderate to severe generalised social anxiety disorder/social phobia in adults.
