SMC accepts somatropin (Omnitrope®) for growth disturbance

Following a full submission, the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) has accepted somatropin (Omnitrope®) for use within NHS Scotland for its licensed indications in infants, children, adolescents and adults (see SPC at link below).  This is a biosimilar and has demonstrated equivalency in terms of efficacy and safety to a reference recombinant human growth hormone (somatropin (Genotropin®)).
