The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) has accepted tobramycin 300mg/4ml nebuliser solution (Bramitob®) for use in NHS Scotland for the management of chronic pulmonary infection due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa in patients with cystic fibrosis aged 6 years and older.

The drug advice (see link below) notes that this preparation offers an alternative to an existing nebuliser solution at a lower cost per dose.  Consideration should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents.
