SMC accepts combined oral contraceptives (Rigevidon®; Millinette®; Gedarel®; TriRegol®)

Following abbreviated submissions, the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) has accepted the following oral contraceptives for use within NHS Scotland:

 

• Rigevidon®: ethinylestradiol 30microgram/levonorgestrel 150microgram

• Millinette®: ethinylestradiol 20microgram/gestodene 75microgram and ethinylestradiol 30microgram/gestodene 75microgram

• Gedarel®: ethinylestradiol 20microgram/desogestrel 150microgram and ethinylestradiol 30microgram/desogestrel 150microgram

• TriRegol®: ethinylestradiol 30/40 plus levonorgestrel 50/75/125 microgram
