The NHS North East Treatment Advisory Group (NETAG) has issued a recommendation and associated appraisal report on the use of capsaicin cutaneous patch (Qutenza®) for neuropathic pain. The Group did not recommend its use as it was concerned about the clinical efficacy of treatment and considered that it did not represent a cost-effective treatment option.
