  • Denosumab is a human monoclonal antibody that targets and binds with high affinity and specificity to RANK ligand (RANKL), preventing activation of the RANK receptor, which is found on osteoclast precursors and osteoclasts.
  • Denosumab should be administered by an individual who has been adequately trained in sub-cutaneous injection technique.  Denosumab is administered twice a year by sub-cutaneous injection.
