In its Final Appraisal Report, the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) did not support the use within NHS Wales of etanercept (Enbrel®) for the treatment of chronic severe plaque psoriasis in children and adolescents from the age of eight years who are inadequately controlled by, or are intolerant to, other systemic therapies or phototherapies. The cost effectiveness data presented were considered insufficient by the group.
