In its Final Appraisal Report, the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) has supported the use of methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin beta (Mircera®) within NHS Wales as an option for the treatment of adults with symptomatic anaemia associated with chronic kidney disease. The group was of the opinion that this treatment is suitable for shared care within NHS Wales.
