The All Wales Medicines Strategy Group has issued a Final Appraisal Recommendation on the use of histamine dihydrochloride (Ceplene®) for acute myeloid leukaemia.

The Group does not recommend histamine dihydrochloride in this indication. The case for clinical effectiveness and cost effectiveness has not been proven. People who are currently being treated with histamine dihydrochloride for this indication should have the option to continue their therapy until they and their clinicians consider it appropriate to stop.
