In its Final Appraisal Recommendation, the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) does not support the use of dasatinib (Sprycel®) within NHS Wales for the treatment of adult patients with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome positive (Ph+) chronic myelogenous leukaemia in the chronic phase. The group considered that the case for cost effectiveness had not been proven.
