The tool is aimed at managers and potential authors of PGDs detailing requirements of the various stages of development and approval of PGDs.

The tool has been updated and emphasises the need to ensure that a PGD is necessary and appropriate before embarking on PGD development. It also aims to ensure consideration of legal and governance aspects of medicines at each stage.

New hyperlinks have been added to help users navigate to external medicines management resources as well as to various resources within the PGD website.
